Frequently Asked Questions
Q: My grandfather fought for a country other than the U.S. during the war, can I submit his name for the Tribute listing?
A: Yes, we are accepting names from any combatant nation during World War II.
Q: My mother worked as a Red Cross volunteer during the war, can I submit her name for the Tribute listing?
A: Yes, we are accepting the names of anyone who contributed on the Home Front as well.
Q: What if I don't know very much about my loved one that served during the war? I know that he or she was in the Army, but that's about it.
A: All we need is a name and a branch of service. If that is all you have then that's all you can do. Although we may be able to help you locate more information.
Q: I found some new information/new photo about my loved one, but I already submitted my information, can I change was has already been posted?
A: Yes, we can make any modifications that you would like, as long as the biography is 500 words or less. Also, we can only post 2 photographs, so if you want a new one put up, you will have to tell us which one to replace.
Q: I can't afford $100 to add my loved one's name to the Tribute listing, but I would really like for their story to be included. Can you take payments?
A: We do not currently have any type of payment plan, but you might consider asking other family members to pitch in. Try not to think of this as a personal mission, but as a family mission. If your parents or grandparents did something that you are proud of, it is likely that other family members are just as proud and would be willing to help contribute.
