Current Fundraising Campaign:

"Home for the History Center"

As of 9/24/10, the World War II History Center Foundation became the owner of the building located at 119 W. Central in downtown El Dorado, Kansas. Due to fundraising efforts since 2008, the Foundation was able to secure a loan to pay off the previous owner from which the Foundation was leasing the building. This transaction allowed the Foundation more time to finish raising the funds necessary to own the building outright. As a result of the purchase, our current fundraising goal is $8,400 which will pay off our new mortgage, the deadline for which is December 31, 2014.

Those who contribute to this campaign will be recognized in two ways. First, your name, your business's name, or your organization's name will be listed below on this webpage, as well as your website address. Your name (and web address) will also be permanently recognized on our Funding Support page. Second, your name will be added to our donor plaque, located at the front entrance, recognizing all those who contributed to this campaign.

There are four levels of recognition on the plaque, and they are listed below:

"Victory" Sponsor: $100 - $249

"Freedom" Sponsor: $250 - $499

"Arsenal of Democracy" Sponsor: $500 - $999

"Friend of Our Veterans" Sponsor: $1,000 and above

If you would like to make a contribution in honor of someone, please indicate the person's name you would like to honor. Any amount contributed over $100.00 automatically makes you eligible for a submission to the Tribute Gallery (one name may be submitted for every $100.00 contributed). Any amount over $250.00 automatically makes you eligible for a submission to our very own Memorial to the World War II Generation (one name may be submitted for every $250.00 contributed).
